Confirmation Camp – June 19-23

ConfirCamp is an integral part of our congregation’s  confirmation program. It is a week that we spend with about twenty other churches from our synod at Camp Lutherlyn building on the year-long learning we have already done with the Erie Lutheran Parish. This mandatory piece of our Christian Education program is for grades six and above who wish to delve deeper into their faith so that they can affirm their baptism and become a full voting member of our congregation’s mission and ministry.

Though ConfirCamp itself officially begins on Father’s Day (6/18), our group is encouraged to show up instead on Monday morning by 8am, as to keep sacred such important family holidays. The paperwork is available at the bottom of this page. Some of the paperwork says that this week at Lutherlyn will cost your student $375, but the actual cost of confirmation camp will be significantly less (the exact amount is still being worked out). No matter where you and your family are at financially, money issues are not a reason not to attend. * You might notice that some of the forms say “WACO / God’s Camp”. Both are former names of groups that have come together to make the entity it currently is: NW PA Synod’s Confirmation Camp. Or as we know it now: ConfirCamp.
