Youth ministry is not so much about training up the “Church of Tomorrow” as it is about empowering the “Church of Today” to make a difference in their school, their neighborhood, and their world.
Some of the offerings we have for our youth and their families:
“5 Below and Families” is the group focused on bringing together kids in fifth grade and younger, along with their families, together for fun, learning, and fellowship. We meet at different times to do different things together so keep checking the church calendar!
Confirmation (aka: Affirmation of Baptism)
Confirmation in the Lutheran Church is a public profession of faith prepared for by long and careful instruction. In English, it is called “affirmation of baptism”, and is a mature and public reaffirmation of the faith which “marks the completion of the congregation’s program of confirmation ministry”. We currently work with as part of the Erie Lutheran Parish in this instruction period for your sixth through ninth grade youth.
